Francisco went through a separation. He was the one who brought the idea to José, because he was living the problem day to day: coordinating over WhatsApp, schedules that never quite matched up with the other parent, doing mental math to figure out which days the child was with whom, planning holidays!!, small things that kept turning into arguments. He watched this become, more than once, a source of needless conflict. He knew there had to be a better way.
José doesn't have children yet, but he'd seen this same pattern repeat itself among people close to him, year after year. When Francisco described the problem to him, he recognized it immediately.
Together, they had what was missing: José as a software engineer with product experience, Francisco as a cybersecurity analyst, someone for whom protecting sensitive data isn't an extra, it's the starting point. And they built it.
We named it Jebby, in honor of Eglantyne Jebb, founder of Save the Children and author of the Declaration of the Rights of the Child, in 1924, the first person to formally declare that children's wellbeing must come above all else.
