1. Provider
These Terms of Use govern access to and use of Jebby, a mobile co-parenting coordination app available on iOS and Android.
Provider: Jebby, operated by Francisco Martins de Oliveira Pimenta, a sole individual, self-employed
Tax ID (NIF): 246900601
Address: Rua Parque dos Anjos, 2, 1º F, 1495-100 Algés, Portugal
Phone: +351 919 058 801
Email: legal@jebby.app
Jebby is currently operated by a sole individual, with formal company registration underway. These terms are valid and binding from the date of their publication. Once the company is formed, the provider will become that company, and you will be notified by email before the change takes effect.
2. Service Description
Jebby is a mobile platform designed to help separated or divorced parents coordinate custody schedules, share events, and manage the day-to-day logistics of co-parenting. Core features include:
- Shared custody calendar with configurable custody patterns
- Co-parent invitation
- Day-swap requests between parents
- Events (school, appointments, activities), shared with the other parent or kept private to you
- Notes for daily tasks
- Push notifications for schedule changes and swaps
- Custody summary statistics
- Custody Report in PDF, sent by email
The service is provided “as is” during the initial launch period. Features, pricing, and availability are subject to change with reasonable advance notice.
3. Account Registration and Eligibility
Age requirement: Jebby is intended exclusively for adults (18+). By registering, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old or the age of legal majority in your country.
Legitimacy over the child: By entering a child’s information, you declare that you have the legitimacy to do so (for example, as a parent, guardian, or other adult responsible for them).
Authentication: Jebby supports sign-in via Google Sign-In or an email OTP code. You are responsible for keeping your account secure and for all activity that occurs through it.
One account per person: You may not create multiple accounts or share your account with other users. The account is personal and non-transferable.
Accuracy: You agree to provide accurate, current information and to keep it up to date.
4. Inviting the Other Parent
- The other parent only joins Jebby if invited by email and if they accept the invitation. Acceptance is always required.
- When you send an invitation, you provide the other parent’s email and declare that it is the correct address and that the invited person is, in fact, the other parent or another adult responsible for the child.
- Until the invitation is accepted, no account is created for the invited person and they are given no access to the calendar, history, or other data about the child. They receive only what the invitation itself contains: the inviter’s name and the child’s name.
- The invitation has an expiry period. If it expires or is declined, the invited person does not end up with an account, and their email is deleted per the Privacy Policy.
- To actually interact with a child’s routine, the other parent has to download the app, create an account (or sign in), and accept these Terms.
- Permissions: only the user who set up the routine can edit it. The other parent can create events and make swap requests.
- If you receive an invitation you weren’t expecting, you can simply ignore it.
5. Custody Routine and Custody Report
Routine. The custody routine is entered by one of the parents. Jebby does not verify, validate, or arbitrate it: it assumes the routine matches what was agreed or decided by both parents (or ordered by a court). Jebby is not a negotiation or mediation space.
Disagreements. If the parents have different accounts of what was agreed, Jebby does not decide who is correct, and does not alter or remove information at one parent’s request against the other’s wishes, except where required by law. Disagreements should be resolved through appropriate legal channels.
Custody Report. The Sync plan lets you generate, on request, a summary of custody days and events for a period of your choosing. The report is emailed as a PDF to your account’s email address.
Sharing. The report contains personal data about you, the other parent, and the children. You are responsible for how you store and share it, and must only do so lawfully.
6. Subscription Plans and Pricing
Jebby is free to download, with a free 15-day trial period. After that period, a paid subscription is required to keep using the Sync plan’s features.
| Plan | Price | Core features |
|---|---|---|
| Free | €0 | Full-year shared custody calendar, accept or decline day-swap requests, basic notifications |
| Sync | €1.99 / month or €19.99 / year | Everything in Free, plus day-swap requests, notes for daily tasks, creating and sharing events, and the Custody Report in PDF |
Early Bird offer: Early Bird users are the first 100 customers to subscribe to a paid Jebby plan, monthly or annual. For them, the monthly plan costs €1.99/month and the annual payment is €19.99, equivalent to paying for 10 months — two months free compared to the monthly price. Early Bird users keep their price for as long as their subscription stays active. The prices applied to customers who subscribe after these first 100 may be different.
Prices are in euros, with applicable taxes included. Subscriptions are billed through the App Store (Apple) or Google Play, subject to their respective billing terms.
Trial period: Before any charge, you get a free 15-day trial. You will not be charged until that period ends. You can cancel at any time during the trial, at no cost.
Renewals: Monthly and yearly subscriptions both renew automatically at the end of each period, unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the renewal date, in your App Store or Google Play account settings.
7. Right of Withdrawal and Refunds
Under EU Directive 2011/83/EU on consumer rights, you have the right to withdraw from the contract within 14 days of the purchase date, without needing to give any reason.
Purchases made through the App Store or Google Play. Since payment is processed by the store, the right of withdrawal and refund requests are handled by that store, under its own policies, without prejudice to the rights the law grants you as a consumer:
- Apple: via reportaproblem.apple.com.
- Google Play: at play.google.com, under “Payments & subscriptions,” “Order history & budgets,” and “Report a problem.”
If Google redirects your request to us (for example, after the first 48 hours), we review it under applicable law and the store’s policies. You can also reach us at legal@jebby.app.
Refunds. Refunds are processed through the same payment method used for the purchase.
8. User Obligations
By using Jebby, you agree to:
- Use the service lawfully and in compliance with applicable Portuguese and EU law
- Not use Jebby to harass, threaten, or harm the other parent or any third party
- Not upload false, misleading, or defamatory content
- Not enter health data or other special categories of data (Article 9 GDPR) into free-text fields, nor data about people you don’t have legitimacy over
- Not attempt to reverse-engineer, disassemble, or circumvent any part of the application
- Not use automated tools to access the service (bots, scrapers)
- Not share your account credentials with third parties
- Not use Jebby in a way that could compromise the service or other users’ access to it
Jebby is a coordination tool. It does not replace legal parenting plans, court decisions, or professional advice. Any disputes between parents should be resolved through the appropriate legal channels.
9. Content and Intellectual Property
Your content: You retain ownership of all content you enter into Jebby — custody schedules, events, children’s data, messages. By using the service, you grant Jebby a limited license to process and store that content solely for the purpose of providing the service.
Jebby’s property: The Jebby application, its design, code, brand, and all content that is not user content belong to Jebby and are protected by intellectual property rights. You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without written authorization.
Feedback: If you send feedback or suggestions, you grant Jebby a non-exclusive, royalty-free right to use that feedback to improve the service.
10. AI Features
Under the EU Artificial Intelligence Act (Regulation (EU) 2024/1689), Jebby intends to introduce AI-based features in a future version. When these features launch, the following obligations will apply, and these terms will be updated accordingly:
- Transparency: you will always be clearly informed when you are interacting with an AI system
- Human oversight: AI outputs will be advisory only — every decision affecting your family remains yours
- Opt-in: AI features will require explicit consent, separate from these terms
- Right to explanation: you can request an explanation for any AI-generated output
- Right to human review: any AI-assisted decision can be reviewed by a person on request
Jebby does not use AI systems that fall under the “prohibited” or “high-risk” categories under the EU AI Act.
11. Availability and Changes to the Service
Jebby aims to provide the highest possible availability but cannot guarantee uninterrupted service. Scheduled maintenance will be announced in advance whenever possible.
We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any feature of the service with 30 days’ advance notice in the case of substantial changes. For urgent security or legal reasons, we may act without prior notice.
Price changes. We will notify subscribers at least 30 days in advance. The change only applies from the billing period following the end of that notice, and does not affect a period you’ve already paid for. If you disagree, you can cancel your subscription before that date, at no additional cost, in your App Store or Google Play account settings. We do not treat simply continuing to use the service as acceptance of a new price.
12. Liability
Jebby is liable as required by law. Without prejudice to the following paragraph, Jebby is not liable for:
- Data loss resulting from user error or account deletion
- Decisions made by parents based on information in the app
- Interruptions caused by third-party services (Apple, Google, infrastructure providers)
- Legal consequences of co-parenting disputes — Jebby is not a legal service
- Content that users enter and how they use the reports generated
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits Jebby’s liability for intent or gross negligence, for harm to life, physical or moral integrity, or health, for non-contractual property damage, or any liability that cannot be excluded or limited under Portuguese or EU law, including consumer protection and data protection legislation.
13. Account Termination
By you: You can delete your account at any time in Settings → Account → Delete Account in the app, or by emailing legal@jebby.app. Deletion deactivates the account immediately. You have 30 days to recover it by signing in again, with full restoration. After 30 days, your identifying data (name, email, date of birth, profile photo) is permanently and irreversibly anonymized, as described in the Privacy Policy.
By Jebby: We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, with or without prior notice depending on severity. Serious violations (for example, harassment, illegal content) may result in immediate termination.
Subscriptions and refunds. Upon termination, active subscriptions are cancelled starting from the next billing cycle. Refunds are governed by the App Store’s and Google Play’s refund policies and by law (see section 7).
Death. In the event of a user’s death, rights over their data may be exercised as provided by law (Law No. 58/2019). Contact legal@jebby.app.
14. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
These terms are governed by Portuguese law, without prejudice to the mandatory consumer protections under your local law.
Disputes: We recommend first seeking resolution through direct contact at legal@jebby.app. If unresolved, you may turn to an alternative consumer dispute resolution body. The list of available bodies is at consumer-redress.ec.europa.eu/dispute-resolution-bodies. You may also turn to CACL (Lisbon Consumer Conflict Arbitration Centre): centroarbitragemlisboa.pt.
You can file a complaint through the Electronic Complaints Book (Livro de Reclamações Eletrónico) at www.livroreclamacoes.pt.
For disputes not resolved through alternative means, the Portuguese courts have jurisdiction, without prejudice to mandatory consumer-protection rules.
15. Changes to These Terms
We will notify registered users of substantial changes to these terms by email, with 30 days’ advance notice. If you disagree with the changes, you can delete your account before they take effect. Continued use after that period constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
